What Your Player Can Expect

Clear goals every season

Each age group has end-of-season goals — what every player should be able to do and understand by May.

A plan for every month

Coaches follow week-by-week monthly plans from August to November and February to May, so every practice builds on the last.

One style of play

Every team plays the same way for its format (7v7, 9v9 and 11v11), so moving up a team or an age group feels familiar.

The whole player

Technical, tactical, physical and mental development in every phase.

Licensed, supported coaches

Every coach is working toward a U.S. Soccer license, with club-hosted courses and ongoing coach education.

A consistent game day

The same routine for warm-up, pre-game and half-time talks, and an after-game check-in — including how coaches talk with parents.

Every Practice Ends With Three Yeses

1
Did I learn?
2
Did I get better?
3
Did I have fun?

Every player should leave the field on practice day able to answer yes to all three.

From EBU Juniors and EBU Rec to Bay Oaks, every step of the East Bay United pathway is built to help your player grow — as a player and as a person. Play · Develop · Belong.

Exit Goals · End of Season

Exit goals are the finish line for each age group. Monthly themes build toward them from August to May, and every team runs an exit-goal check in its final month, where coaches record each player against the Must Do and Must Know goals below.
